Bridgetown is a town in the south west of Western Australia, about 3 hours drive from Perth.
Top 10 Places to See and Things to Do
- Visit the Jigsaw Gallery at the Visitor Information Centre. Look around for the 'world's smallest jigsaw'. It is fun for the kids to stay a while and have a go at some of the jigsaws.
- Stroll along the main street and drop into galleries and cafes..
- Take a walk on the Riverside walk
- Pick up some information at the visitor's centre and take the self-guided Historic Walk around town.
- There is an Old Gaol and old homestead.
- Buy some food from the IGA and have a picnic in the park. There is a good playground on the main street, or cross over the bridge and picnic by the river.
- Join the huge crowds and visit during the Blues Festival. Make sure you book your accommodation well in advance.
- Hire a canoe from the Bridgetown caravan park and go for a paddle.
- Visit the Cidery for a nice lunch in the garden with a tasting plate of traditional ciders.
- Go to the lookout for views of the surrounding area.
