The Queen Victoria Market is an historic landmark. This market was officially opened on 20 March, 1878. The market is spread over 7 hectares, making it the largest open air market in the southern hemisphere. There are almost one thousand traders, selling everything from exotic Australian fruit and vegetables and local and imported gourmet foods, meat, fish and poultry, to hardware, manchester, clothing and authentic Australian artefacts and souvenirs.

Thursday: 6am - 2pm
Friday: 6am - 6pm (General merchandise closes at 4pm)
Saturday: 6am - 3pm
Sunday: 9am - 4pm
Closed every Monday and Wednesday, Good Friday, Anzac Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day
