Astronauts are great travellers, going where no man has gone before. Here are some of the famous astronauts.

• Yuri Gagarin — The first nam into space. He orbited the earth on April 12, 1961.

• Neil Armstrong and Buz Aldrin — landed on the moon on July 20, 1969, with Armstrong being the first to step foot on the earth's moon.
