From bustling cities to serene countryside, Japan offers a wealth of affordable experiences, from budget-friendly accommodations and delicious street food to free cultural attractions and scenic hikes.
Japan had long been on our destination wish list, mainly as we have wanted to enjoy the food and experience the very unique culture of Japan. Fortunately we had the opportunity to travel there in May 2011. At first we had a difficult decision to make considering the recent earthquake and tsumani - we waited to close to the date before we decided to go, and we are glad we did.
