- Surfworld Surfing Museum
- Bells Beach - world famous surfing beach
- Point Addis - great views and walks, and there is a nudist beach near here
- Anglesea Golf Course - see the kangaroos
- Aireys Inlet Lighthouse
- Memorial Arch - just past Aireys Inlet is a famous memorial arch erected to commemorate the returned servicemen from WW1 who built the Great Ocean Road from 1918 to 1932.
- Lorne and Erskine Falls
- Wye River - lovely seaside town
- Kennett River Koalas
- Apollo Bay - nice little town for a lunch break
- Maits Rest - rainforest walk
- Cape Otway Lightstation
- Otway Fly Tree-Top Walk
- Melba Gully - go glow worm spotting
- Twelve Apostles
Eating & Drinking:
- there are towns dotted along the route which provide the usual array of eating options.

- The Great Ocean Road was built from 1918 to 1932
- If you drive from Melbourne and along the Great Ocean Road, you can cut a few hours off your trip by short cutting back through Colac, and you don't have to backtrack
