Cervantes is a small town a few hours north of Perth in Western Australia.

Top 10 Places to See and Things to Do

  1. Visit the Pinnacles at sunset or sunrise for the best view and the smallest crowds. It is approximately 17kms south of Cervantes. There is a 3.5 km walk from the discovery centre, or you can drive around and stop and explore. Park entry fees apply.
  2. See the earth's oldest living life form, the Stromatolites at Lake Thetis. A short distance from town along a dirt road. You can walk around the lake.
  3. Go for a swim at hangover bay, close to the Pinnacles. It is an isolated and pristine beach tucked within the Nambung National Park. There are other beaches: thirsty point, kangaroo point, jurien beach marine park, hansen bay.
  4. have a coffee or snack from the Seabreeze Cafe, or near the caravan park Seashells Cafe.
  5. discover the Spanish History of the town.
  6. go fishing or just buy some locally caught fresh seafood.
  7. have a cool ale at the cervantes tavern.
  8. in season explore the wildflowers in this region.
  9. watch a sunset over the Indian Ocean from Thirsty Point Lookout.
  10. windsurfing or surfing at one of the beaches, or beaches are not your thing, you can go Sand surfing at the nearby sand dunes.
