- Richmond Bridge: Australia's oldest bridge, built by convict labour between 1823 and 1825, for movement of military, police and convicts between Hobart and Port Arthur.
- Richmond Gaol: built in 1825, Australia's oldest convict gaol
- St John's Catholic Church: bult in 1836, it is Australia's oldest remaining catholic church. See the cemetery for a fascinating glimpse of early settlement life.
