Port Augusta

The town of Port Augusta is in South Australia at the tip of Spencer Gulf. The is considered the "crossroads of Australia" as from here you can head north to the red centre and Darwin, West to Perth, and Sount to Adelaide.
Places to see and things to do
- take a ride on the Pichi Richi Railway, which take syou from Quorn to Port Augusta, runs on most Saturdays.
- drive to the Flinders Ranges.
- head off across the nullabor to Western Australia
- head down to the new foreshore area and partake in aquatic activities
- visit the Australia Arid Lands Botanic Gardens
- Wadlata Out back Centre
- jump on the Ghan or Indian Pacific trains as they pass through town
- go up to Matthew Flinders Lookout.
