The main attraction of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is commonly known as Ayers Rock. Not far way is the also spectacular Kata Tjuta, commonly known as The Olgas.
Places to see and things to do
- visit the Cultural Centre first
- climb Ayers Rock (Uluru). Bedfore you do so, please consider the wishes of the local indigenous community who ask tourists not to climb.
- go on a guided walk by a ranger - the Mala walk at the base of the rock
- Base Walk around Uluru, a 9.4 km walk.
- view sunset or sunrise at he Rock. There are special viewing areas for this purpose, which are located to give you the best position.
- walks at the Olgas (Kata Tjuta) - the Valley of the Winds Walk.
