Batchelor

Batchelor is known as the gateway to Litchfield National Park. It is situated about 100 km south of Darwin. The town was mainly developed due to the discovery of uranium nearby, and the Rum Jungle Mine that was developed to exploit this. Mining stopped in the 1970s.

- Admire the miniature replica of Karlstein Castle
- Visit the Butterfly Farm. There is also an animal petting zoo here.
