Pie Floaters are a uniquely dish found only in Adelaide, in South Australia. This dish comprises a meat pie turned upside-down in a bowl of thick pea soup. It is traditionally served with lashing of tomato sauce on top. You can make one yourself, but more popularly they are available from pie carts around Adelaide. There are not many of these left, the most famous pie cart and the longest-serving eating venue in South Australia is located outside the General Post Office in Franklin Street. They are best enjoyed after a long night of drinking. When you see one, you will understand why the are better enjoyed while drunk.
