Serpentine National Park is located about an hour south of Perth, Western Australia. It is located 26km south of Armadale, off South West Highway into Falls Road. It is a popular day visit area for the people of Perth, expect a crowded picnic area in Summer. There is an entry fee ($10 for cars in 2010)

  1. Take a look at the Serpentine Falls, which varies in the amount of water throughout the year.
  2. Take a bush walk on one of the walking tracks in the park. A popular one is the Kittys Gorge Walk
  3. Have a drink or meal at the nearby Cafe on the Dam.
  4. check out the wildflowers in Springtime.
  5. go kangaroo spotting or look for other Australian native wildlife.
  6. Have a picnic. There are free barbeques and plenty of grassy areas
