Spectacular coastal cliffs in the Tasman National Park

Why Go:

Highlights:

  • cascading waterfalls
  • Fortescue Bay: a beautiful beach, and place to launch your boat
  • Tasman Coastal Track: A multi-day walking track. A long days walk is from to Fortescue Bay from Pirates Bay along spectacular cliffs, or from Fortescue Bay to Cape Hauy. There are also many excellent shorter walks.

Eating & Drinking:

  • bring along your picnic lunch if you are just doing a short day walk, or some serious dried foods and camping cooking facilities if you are doing a longer overnight walk.
  • Make sure you bring lots of water, even though the weather is often wet and cold.
  • Also take all rubbish out of the park with you when you leave.
