- Derwent River: as it passes through town, this river is narrower and tree lined, and popular for rafting, kayaking, fishing and water skiiing
- Tynwald: an 1830s mansion on the riverside on the outskirts of town, available as a B&B and open for diner nightly.
- Antique Doll House: situated in the 160 year old Colony Inn

- New Norfolk still produces the majority of hops used by Australian breweries. As you drive around this area you will see the distinctive hop farms.
- St Matthews Church is the oldest Anglican Church in Tasmania.
