Places to see and things to do
- look for cassowaries in the Tam O'Shanter National Park (watch out for them on the road, especially at dusk).
- Laze on the beautiful palm lined sandy beach
- take a day trip to Dunk Island, either on a tour or via the water taxi. Dink island is 4.5 km from off shore. The island is mostly National Park, with a resort too.
- take a trip out to the Great Barrier Reef.
