Kurrimine Beach is a picturesque fishing hamlet, with the great barrier reef on its doorstep. It is a great place for a laid back holiday. It is located midway between Townsville and Cairns, nine kilometres off the Bruce Highway. It is 1.5 hours south of Cairns and 2.5 hours north of Townsville.

- go fishing: Kurrimine Beach is famous for having the best fishing in North Queensland and is home of the renowned King Reef Crayfish.
- take a boat out to the nearby deserted islands and swim in the beautiful crystal clear waters of King Reef just metres offshore
- take a stroll along the quiet palm fringed beach.
