Broken Hill

New South Wales, Australia

Broken Hill is a town in rural NSW, Australia. It is closer to Adelaide than Sydney, and is actually on SA time zone. For a long way around here there is just red dirt. The town however has a lot to offer. It was built on the mining trade and still is very much a mining town today.

Broken Hill was the scene of the only enemy attack on Australia soil - in 1915 during WWI.

Nearby is Silverton, just 24 km's away, a famous outback town which has been the setting of many TV shows and movies.
