What
The Red Bull Air Race World Championship is an acrobatic airplane competition. One of the eight events that are held all over the world are held over the Swan River in Perth Western Australia.
Where
The event is held over the beautiful Swan River, which runs alongside the city centre. The planes land and take off from the city side of the river, but the best viewing is from Sir James Mitchell Park in South Perth, where there are huge video screens with commentary, live music and interviews with the pilots. There are also food and beverage outlets, merchandise and family fun activities around the place. The event is free to attend, though you can buy tickets for grandstand seating.
