The Travel Almanac is a personal guide to budget world travel. There is so much to see in the world, and also so much written about it. Of information online, much of it is the same old stuff rehashed. What makes this site unique is that we only write about places we have visited, situations we have experienced, and information we have personally collected.

Who Are We?

We are Rob and Clare, and this site is a collection of travel notes from our traveling adventures plus lots more (see about us for more about us!). Our latest family journey with our three kids was a trip to Bali in July 2012, and we are all going to China in 2013 for two weeks. Locally our last great adventure was in 2008-09 when we completed a year long road trip around Australia in our campervan.
